The Experience
Walk in and you're greeted by shelves lined with bottles you would not expect to find this far up the Suriname River — Chateau Ste. Michelle from Washington, Paul Hobbs from California, South African Topiary blends, Argentine Malbec from The Show, and a wall of playful spirits like Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey, Teremana tequila (Blanco, Reposado and Añejo), Ménage à Trois, and Empress 1908 gin. The staff double as sommeliers and recipe testers, happily walking you through cocktail ideas (the Peanut Butter White Russian is a house favourite) or steering you toward a Matua sparkler for the beach. The room is small, the curation is tight, and the vibe is more 'friendly neighbourhood cellar' than showroom.
